Remedial massage is the treatment of soft tissue dysfunction in the body (muscles, fascia etc).

By using the appropriate techniques and pressure we improve range of motion, muscle function and reduce pain

Remedial massage does not need to push your pain threshold, if to deep the body will protect itself by not allowing muscle release. It’s about developing a body awareness between therapist and client

Dry needling (different to acupuncture however using the same needles)

By placing needles within the triigger points of specific muscle fibres it stimulates an increase in blood flow, activates the ‘twitch response’ similar to the tendon reflex, signalling to the body it has dysfunction and needs to release the muscle fibre lock

Cupping uses pressure to ‘pull’ trapped blood and toxin from the deep muscle to the under surface of the skin allowing the toxin to be cleansed naturally by the bodies organs

The marks commonly seen after cupping are not bruising but the toxic blood from muscle spasm also referred to as ‘nots’ that is lacking oxygen (the reason for the dark appearance).

These marks usually fade in 5-7 days
